Coiled up wire is for soft start? what about the one with the white plug connector ?

My new engine has a black wire that is coiled on top of the engine 2 wires and another with a small white plug looks like 2 wires also, where do they go a little different from the 2007 engine?

I was asking about tilting the carbs out not trying to make the carbs leaner??

Someone said to lean the carbs. out from the engine in the cold weather what is that supposed to do to make the engine run smoother? What would change in the carbs, by doing that?

The motor controller listed above does work I can set timer to about 1.3 seconds using the reverse momentary switch and it will move the flaps 15 degrees at a time when holding down switch, you can change the time to anything you want. The only issue is that -6 it will travel to far because its only 6 degrees not 15 as stated above. That is not a problem because you can still bump the momemtary switch to move it just a little bit at a time so overall it works well for 50 dollars. I was able to eliminate both the relays and just use the timer with no issues.

I hooked up the momentary switch works really well just waiting for the trim indicator cable.

I had a 2 inch hole blow out in mine years ago had it welded no problem.

Firewall has blanket on it can’t see nuts.

I couldn’t get two screws out I gave up. Spinning can’t get to back side.

Trim position cable

I ordered new engine this week from Lockwood price going up again next week they say.

Could not get the 2 screws out they just spin in hole. Roger suggested cutting heads off with dremal tool any other suggestions. I don't think I am going to mess with it. Flap board on firewall.

I going to install a backup system for flaps I ordered trim positioning cable and momentary switch, I will run the wires back to the motor and have them ready to plug in, in case of a failure. The trim cable has 90 degree bend at the end and a circle made into the other end for mounting, i will mount the cable on center console with the end sticking up like our rudder and trim indicators are now with a small slot cut for cable and degree marks for positioning will see how it works out.
