  1. I'm making a new set of sync hoses. Since the connection is done on the left side, shouldn't I mike the hose for the left gauge shorter by about a foot. The right carb has to go through the metal tube before the sync hoses are connected.
  2. Carpeted hangar. Awesome. I have an eprop and do 125kt TAS at 5200, but I usually do 122 at 5000RPM to save fuel
  3. It only leaks when the motor is running, if that helps.
  4. That's about the age of mine, since I went E-LSA at 15 years. Will have to check.
  5. I've had a leak on the pilot's side for years. It only happens when flying, and rarely happens when I fly in smooth air. The drip pan is dry when I'm on the ground. I have a nice fuel stain on the pilot side of the plane from years of this. Tom Jr. suggested replacing the float bowl and gasket. He says he's seen some warped ones. Thoughts Roger?
  6. I have my flaps programmed to -10 and that added maybe 1-2 kt. An e-prop gave me 5 more kts at the same fuel burn, and I'm not done adjusting the pitch.
  7. When I had water in the pitot tube, the indicated airspeed would drop from 40 to 0 almost instantly. Very easy to drain.
  8. I've had a leak in one carb since day one. It's where the throttle linkage is. Multiple rebuilds, and still a leak. Maybe replacing the whole thing is the way to go.
  9. Not heavy enough to be a boat anchor
  10. So what is a Neuform prop with 760 hrs worth?
  11. Correct. It was starting to get bumpy and didn't want to stress the airframe. Vibration wise, it was pretty good. So good, that I didn't remember to turn on the noise canceling on my Zulu3 until the runup.
  12. It took under 90 minutes to change the prop. The lugs came out with a few taps, except for one that I had to use another lug to force it out. I have it set to 26.8 degrees. Climb is still >800 FPM (not at full power) and I was at 125 true at 5200 RPM (5.5 GPH per the Dynon). I didn't try full throttle because it wasn't smooth enough. I really like the 117 kt cruise at 4900 RPM using 4.5 GPH. This is 80F at 2000 AGL. e-props gave me their digital level tool, even though I didn't order it. It seemed to work well. I did check my cell phone against it and got the same answer to within a tenth of a degree.
  13. Prop showed up 3 weeks early (must have been in stock). I just realized a bubble level app on my cell phone works great. I'll use both, but the cell phone seems very repeatable.
  14. I have a warp drive propeller level. I've been happy with that
