  1. Same fuel supplier that I always use; 91 octane ethanol free. Full rubber replacement not quite three years ago. I’ve only had the starting problem the last 18 months. It does help to pull the key and shut the fuel off, but it still cranks longer than I would like to see it crank. If I don’t fly for 3 weeks, and don’t shut the fuel off, it will run a fully charged battery dead. After recharging the battery, it will start after a lot of cranking.
  2. I don’t have a battery problem. My plane won’t start after, I think, because it has no fuel in the bowls.
  3. I would be interested in how your engine starts after you’ve burned your fuel out. My play use to start quickly, even after it had not run for six weeks. Now, if I’ve not flown in 3 weeks, it takes a lot of cranking before it starts. if someone knows what I should do to solve my starting problem, I would appreciate your input.
  4. My engine turned over great, but it would not fire a lick. Roger said to put a baggy full of ice on the black modules on top of motor. I did, and it started right up. So I just need to put new starting modules on it. Thanks again, Roger!
  5. Thanks for the offer. I don’t know of anything you folks can do. I’m just trying to make the public aware of what is happening and how badly managed the dams are on the Missouri River. The dams were built for flood control but today are managed for recreation and fish. I was told in February of this year, by folks that watch the lake levels and the snow pack, that if we had normal rainfall this spring we would flood. Many were aware last fall that the lakes needed to be let down. But the Corps refused to lower the lakes through the fall and over the winter I’ve been so busy today is the first time I’ve came back to the forum. I’ve supervised sand bagging and wall builds, as well as provided info on what folks should expect to happen. We partially sand bagged our business, but the water stop 15 feet from our building. We Will be dealing with Highwater in many places probably up into July sometime. I have flown over 70 hours documenting the flood.
  6. Thanks I’m no longer able to do the physical work, it takes, to try to protect our farm ground and homes in our area. the role that I’m in now, is both humbling and rewarding.
  7. I have been flying mostly 2 to 3 times a day documenting the flooding in our area I’ve been shooting video from Lexington Missouri to Columbia Missouri on the Missouri River. I’ve also got a lot of video on the grand river from Brunswick Missouri to Chillicothe Missouri If you go to Facebook you can do a search for me “ Stacy Singleton “. I am making all of my flood video and pictures viewable to the public I’ve allowed folks to tag me and give descriptions in areas that I’m not as familiar with So at times you’ll have to scroll quite a ways to get to my actual videos there are many. Feel free to share with your friends
  8. I have made my face book pics and videos shareable to the i tide globe. If you would like to see videos and commentary, search for me on Facebook and you can see what’s been taking place here. Stacy Singleton Brookfield MO
  9. If you get that done, post a pic please. You might post a pic of your mount now, also. TIA BTW, I just got back into my office after selling my 32' pontoon semi-house boat. I should qualify for a camera purchase now.
  10. I've had carb ice on 2 occasions; on cold days with lots of haze, and reduced throttle. The carb ice pull stops it immediately. When the plane was fairly new to me, I ran one tank out and unported the other one. The engine ran fine as soon as I leveled the wings. I've played with the vent tubes, but I've never got them to draw the same. My left tank always uses more if I don't fly left wing low.
  11. That is tempting. I might have to do it. After I ordered the supercharger for the Mustang, my wife frowned on my purchase. But, it is the first time in 31 years that she questioned something I bought.
  12. I've been thinking about a gopro for quite awhile. Your video's are really good. If I hadn't already made an insane purchase a month ago, I would have to buy the gopro.
