I wouldn't convert to ELSA until after your warranties expire.
  2. When you do a leaseback you are running a business. Check carefully on license requirements. Insurance rates will be significantly higher. There will be significant times when the plane will not be available to you. You will have to schedule it like any other customer of the FBO. You may want to discuss it with an aviation attorney. When people approached me about a leaseback with my World Aviation LSA, I made use of the AOPA legal assistance program. It was well worth the cost. I ended up not doing the leaseback when the attorney raised some tax questions. In my case: would I have to pay sales tax when I changed from personal ownership to an LLC; what would the LLC cost to set up and keep legal each year; and would it affect my income tax (especially since I live in PA and the FBO is in NY. They also asked me to think how often the plane would really be rented out given the weather around here especially on the weekends and during the winter. A lot of people do make leasebacks work out fine. Just think about it very carefully.
  3. Do you have any ADSB-In equipment? It is possible to have ADSB out, which is what's required by the FAA, and not have any ADSB in. The Dynons cannot display what they don't receive.
  4. Since it appears you can be infected by the virus for a week before any symptoms appear, the only safe course is to assume you are already infected and then take the necessary precautions to avoid infecting anyone else.
  5. I've been searching online and haven't been able to find a current link. It was years ago that I saw the cabin heater that uses coolant in a Aircraft Spruce catalog. When I bought the WAC Vision I asked for it to be installed. They did so and still currently advertise it as available. The paper work on the plane doesn't list it separately so I don't have a manufacturers name. Sorry that's the best I can do at the moment without getting to the airport and trying to crawl under the panel.
  6. There is a heater already available for Rotax engines that does use the coolant for heat. I have one in my World Aircraft "Vision." It works quite well. It has a fan behind a radiator in the cockpit and really puts out the heat.
  7. Instead of asking others what works for them, you should get your instructor, go up to a safe altitude in your plane, find a straight road to follow, set a "hard floor" altitude as a simulated runway and then try slips in various configurations and find out what works for YOU. Then practice slips until you're comfortable with them.
  8. 15.4.7 is the latest Dynon update but I believe you will need to check with Flight Design if you can use it. All Dynon updates are available here: https://www.dynonavionics.com/software-overview.php
  9. Water in the line trapped and flowing in such a way that it shuts off the airflow when you're not level.
