Heated Seat Covers

Hi Chris,

I have done a lot of these over the last 6 years. It should give you plenty of heat if everything is done. Are you sure you didn't miss something. Give me a call and let's verbally go over it. I'll be working at the hangar today wrapping up a hose change. Call me in the late afternoon or early evening.

Hi Roger,

I've cured all my 'above head height' air leaks but I'm curious as to how you seal your door aperatures with the draught excluder strip in addition to the black rubber/plastic moulding.  Please could you post a picture of what your 'system' looks like?  Thanks.

Go buy from Ace Aviation some soft self sticking 1/2" wide foam. Not the hard rubber stuff. The grey stuff is usually for around windows and the like. Then just take it between the CT rubber trim and the fuselage edge. There is plenty of space there. The space does vary going around the perimeter, but it fits in this area just fine. Now when you close the door all air is stopped from coming in or out. With all the air leaks sealed the hot air from the muffler heating system will stay in the cabin and not be blown out.

85-90F degrees and blue skies here today and the next ten. :thumbs_up-3334:  (Hotter than normal for this time of year, but may start to be the norm which works for me)

Time to disconnect the heater. Oh wait I didn't even have t use it this year.  :giggle-3307:

Oh yes I forgot about you guys still digging out from yesterday's and today's snow storm.  Maybe a heated dogsled would work. :fainting-1344:

All joking aside I hope everyone is doing okay.

6K commercial flights canceled.

I was going to ask the folks here about heated vests for cold weather, such as this one:  http://a.co/d/7lkhfeJ  I was wondering if anyone had a recommendation along these lines, or could recommend a product that might be better than the one I linked.

But a quick search of the site brought me to this thread, which makes me believe I should look at my heater's performance more carefully.  Last year it was 'effing cold, especially when the sun was not shining.  I am going to look more carefully and see if there is something that needs to be adjusted to make the heater work better.

Regarding the 'self-sticking half inch wide foam':  is a product similar to this (http://a.co/d/dOOhjxx) the right thing?

Thank you to all of you folks who share your knowledge on this site!
