shaunc869
I am looking to get my sport license in Portland, does anyone know of any CFI's who use CT's in this area to do training, so far no luck! On a separate note I am looking for any local owners who might let me come check out their plane as I haven't been able to get a close look at one yet, but the videos, specs, and pictures really look amazing! Thanks for the help! Shaun
N89WD
Get ahold of Steve Cochran out at Troutdale (TTD). Call the main FBO there, it's on the north side of the field closest to the tower. Great guy.
N89WD
Also if no luck with Steve. I was recently in Scappose (15nm west of PDX) stopped for fuel on my way to Astoria. The FBO there had Tecnam trainers, they could possibly give leads to FDLS. Also check McMinnville they had some Light Sport trainers on the ramp there as well. Let me know please. I'm in PDX often. sandpiper
Shaun, I am in Independence and have a CTSW. However, I do not give instruction in my plane. If you want to visit, shoot me a PM.
N751JM
Shaun, Alaska Air (through Horizon Air) offers a quick non-stop flight from Portland to Santa Rosa, CA. The terminal is a short walk to Sonoma Jet - a dealer and service center for Flight Design, and the local flight school, North Coast Air, offers a CTLS for training and rental. If you can't find something local and can afford to pop down for a day or two you could see the plane and get some flight time in.
