Trond Helland
Hi! I have a CTSW 2006. Recently I discovered that there is play in the left wing. Could this be due to wear in the wing bolt or bushing? Anybody have experience with this? Trond-

Anticept
Up and down shouldn't happen. Take it to a mechanic. You will need to pull the wings and check tolerances. It will likely be a worn carry through spar pin or socket.
Tom Baker
I deleted my earlier post because it didn't apply to his problem.
Roger Lee
Up and down movement should never happen. Fore and aft can happen, then you can put a thin washer on the front wing alignment pin and that will take up any free movement.

You should be able to fly it but place the shim at earliest convenience. If it is vertical I would have it checked out.
Mac Bowden
Before I'd pull the wings off I would slacken the retaining caps at the rear of the spar pins and rotate the spar pins 90 degrees from their present position and see if the play is still there. If the play has gone you have worn the pins oval and if it is still there you have worn bushings. Either way get it checked.
Trond Helland
Thank`s I`l try to rotate 90 degrees and also switch the bolts to see if that will give play on the other side.
