at what rpm does the needle play a role my EGT on left side are higher than right at certain rpms about 5200 left side goes up higher than right,

at 53 5400 it comes back down, or below 5000 its comes back down will needle position change help that ?? Heads temps are good on both sides.

I would like to see some numbers, but what you describe is perfectly normal. The EGT's normal temps can be between 1300-1470 and up to 1500.   1380-1450 EGT is the most common. 1616 is the max EGT.. Some of this depends on how far out from the exhaust head the probe is, carb sync, altitude (cooler the higher), needle clip position, throttle position during any given flight, air filter type and cleanliness, . Somewhere just after 2500 rpm the main jet needle starts to slowly come into play and the idle jet isn't helping any longer.

EGT around 5200 are left 1470 right 1350 5000 both in 1370 range above 5300 both 1370 range below 5100 both 1370 range, only  around 5200 is when they are so

different maybe its no big deal thats why I thought I might change needle position to see if it changes? thanks

That can be normal (80F spread) and nothing to be concerned about. Engine's and setups can show different results even in the same type of plane. I have seen many just like that. 115F-120F is the span watcht for. If you have a Dynon it will flash a "SPN" message instead of the temp.

Unless you live at higher elevations or 5K-6K and above and stay higher than that all the time I would leave the needle clip in the #3 position. You may some day have an odd scenario that causes the engine to  lean or over heat more than normal and could put your engine in an excessive lean or high temp area that could have been avoided. Too many have leaned their engines and caused damage because they really didn't consider all the scenarios. You may be okay in the summer, but overly lean with the same settings in the cold winter.
