All this occurred during my "formative years", and I vaguely recall Collins' trials and tribulations at the time.

 

Plus, I did have numerous flights in a P210, but was lucky enough not to have encountered the same issues he had. I still have the POH in my hangar, 30+ years later!

 

Anyway, I think the linked article is worth a read, if only from a historical perspective. And it can help put our relatively minor issues in perspective as well.
