Roger Lee
If a float has absorbed fuel the pin on the float will be below the fuel level. The floats barely sit at fuel level so any intrusion will cause it to starting sinking. The more fuel it absorbs which happens over a very short time the further it will be down. Rich
Roger, The SB for the ULS912 starts at 6 780. My sn is 6-779. On inspection of the floats yesterday, I noticed abrassion on the corner of one of the floats. Is Rotax going to absorb the cost of new floats? Will they cover the cost if the SN is missed by one digit, like in my situation? If I replace them from Lockwood at this time, instead of waiting, will Rotax reimburse? Roger Lee
WhenRotax issues a recall bulletin they always include some before and some after the affected parts. If you fall within the serial numbers Rotax is replacing these for you so long as you return the old ones. Will they cover one number out? I don't know.
