Hi, I am a Light Sport Pilot here in Page AZ ,flying a Fat Ultralight called a Challenger. It is time to step up and have been looking at CTs although I have never flown one yet.

I will be around begging a ride and my hanger will be open if someone needs to borrow a screwdriver or some Duct tape . I am a corner hanger close to where you usually tie down. I have a few chairs and a pool table ( and some odds and ends in the beer fridge) if anyone wants to sit while waiting for others to bounce in. I can leave an old jeep down there for a few of you to run back and forth in.

Looking forward to meeting you.

Dave,

Perfect time to look at our planes and get pilot impressions.  I'm sure you'll have several opportunities to fly in our aircraft.  I'll certainly take you up.  (Don't mind if I sound like a salesman; I just really love this aircraft.)

As a bit of a warning...

...there tend to be far too many stinkin' CT's.

At least there was one cool plane there in 2011!

I have just rented a 12 passenger van to help shuttle people around were they want to go. We usually share the driver runs as needed.

Avis Car rental is right at the airport. They usually give us 30%-40% discount. If you call them tell them you are with the CT group and the Fly-In in Oct. If you forget or have already made reservations for a car they will honor the rate when you walk up to the counter and identify yourself with the group.

Hello there if anyone has free space in the cockpit and needs a co-pilot please let me know! I follow this forum for a while an would love to meet some of you in person. And obviously to enjoy the event. I live in Austria so the only option for me would be to join one of you. I fly here a CTLS and Diamonds and have current FAA PPL VFR/ IFR single and multiengine. Thanks in advance! Jack.

Hi Jack

I made a similar request   in April..and had no response :(

http://ctflier.com/index.php?/topic/3251-hitchhiking-to-page-fly-in/

I see you have a FAA PPL...so ..maybe  WE  can rent/borrow  one..

you would be the PIC as my canadian PPL is not valid in the US....

I'm about to cancel my room but this could be 'the ticket'

anybody has a CT sitting in the corner and willing to share ?  in  2 months..

Hi Sully,

Glad to have you and your friends.

Please send me your info for both parties.

pilot & co-pilot names, N #'s,, city & state and a cell phone for both.

You can send it through the PM message side of the forum. Just click on my name or picture.

Try calling our hotel and ask Illisa (manager) if she can spare a couple more rooms. If not it may be cheaper just to stay there anyway for a couple more $$.

This town fills up fast and full in October so don't wait.

It's confirmed... Chris, a pilot and medical professional from Escalante, is going to make sure transportation is available to get us into town!   Chris lives at the airport, flys a 172 (converted to tailwheel), and spent a lot of time flying backwoods in Alaska.  Just like Paul Bowmar (rip), he loves Escalante and is helping make the airport a fly-in destination.

For your Future Flying Pleasure... Escalante (1L7) now has fuel, a pilot lounge/house, a free campground (with cookshack), and is working out the details for their donated courtesy car!
