Scott Lee Posted October 4, 2015 Report Share Posted October 4, 2015 I've had a host of strange problems like difficulty getting the engine to crank, losing all power on a hand landing, strange radio noise after startup and more. I took the plane in for new breaks and after engaging the main, flap display comes on but trying to start the flap display went dark and didn't crank. Ironically I had the mechanic tighten down all the grounds during the break pad replacement because of Rogers prior recommendations. The mechanic jumped the main breaker and the plane started. He replaced the breaker and all electrical problems disappeared. Turns out the breakers can develop a high resistance and partly work. A voltmeter across the battery when trying to crank showed no voltage drop. Hope this helps someone. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
