Soft start module

The yellow ones are the factory installed modules which are part of the new Advanced start system.

You can also buy them to replace the 'old style' ones.

The Soft Start are AD-ON that you install on top and in serie with the top module. It change the ignition of THAT module and you start the engine with that module only .

I don't think Bully Hawk sells the soft start any more.

The new Rotax soft start modules are plug and play, except for two wires that go to the starter solenoid. If you want the full benefit of soft start you would also need to replace the flywheel. It isn't worth it, but the modules alone will help.

what you see at Lockwood is the genuine Rotax module

what you see at CPS is the Bully Hawk 'ad ON' Soft Start

as Roger said, the Bully Hawk is not sold anymore as Rotax 'upgraded' the ignition ( as Advanced Start) some years ago.

however, ,if you want a Bully Hawk Soft Start...I have a couple in stock 'on sale'

I don't think the Bullyhawk would be worth it anymore.  With the high (relative, seems like about 10%) failure rate of the standard ignition modules, you could end up paying for the Bullyhawk, and then having your modules fail anyway and still having to buy the Rotax soft start kit.

"buy once, cry once" is my motto on this kind of stuff.
