Duane Jefts Posted January 28, 2016 Report Share Posted January 28, 2016 For those of you that have flown with Roger Lee, you may remember he always has a headwind. Although that seems improbable when you leave Tucson, go somewhere for Brunch, then return to Tucson, it ALWAYS happens when you follow Roger. Case in point, we left Tucson for San Carlos Indian reservation strip and had about a 25 to 33 kt headwind all the way over. We had the wives along and had a very nice brunch and then flew back to Tucson with a 2 to 12 kt headwind all the way. Upon arriving back at Ryan field the maximum 9 kt steady wind forecast for the day turned into a 23kt gusting xwind. I'm going to label this "The Roger Phenom". The winds often change direction rather significantly if you're leaving early in the morning and arriving back later in the afternoon in some places of the country.
