Tom Baker
We had an airplane here that used soccer socks for propeller blade covers.

AZAV8OR
Uh...what good does a sock do over a com antenna?!? Keeps it warm? (I'm pretty sure it's there to deter birds.)
FastEddieB
I saw a Bonanza once about to takeoff with a large plastic owl still on one of his antennae. I called ground, and he was notified and aborted in time. Yet another case where a final 360° walkaround would probably have served him well. FlyingMonkey
Yet another case where a final 360° walkaround would probably have served him well. Or just not putting useless sh*t on an antenna that could cause a problem later!
Anticept
Keeps it warm? (I'm pretty sure it's there to deter birds.) Yep! I've seen a guy who made a pvc pipe that fits over his tail with bird spikes on it. His plane's tail is the cleanest on the ramp.
