Mick
My '06 SW has the AOA indicator. I love it but wish it was more easily viewed on base and final. I hate to look inside then.
FlyingMonkey
Not sure why, but when I asked FD for an MRA to add an AOA pitot tube to my 07 CTSW, I was told Germany would require a $900 engineering study for them to okay it. I said "Eff that".

Mick, do you have a picture of your pitot tube?

gbigs
The AOA on the FD is cute but not all that useful. Much better to fly by feel and stay inside the envelope. When turning base to final it's just never a good idea to make a level turn the descend and/or go wide and try to correct by turning steep. Always be descending from base to final and if wide make a shallow descending turn and try to get back on the approach....if the course can't be corrected just go around.
