Ed Cesnalis
Our CTs have clean airframes, couple that with the relatively slow speed and you get; at 120kts small additional reductions in drag mean little but small increases in power mean a lot. FlyingMonkey
I completely agree with Tom. I do think the larger tires have more options to buy, a little less maint issues. It rides smoother on rough ground with cracks and bumps. Andy, There was a point in very early 2006 if memory serves on the time frame that the leg gear on the SW's were beefed up from the 2003-2006 models. "The tire thing seems to have some differing opinions" Sorry I over reacted on my post, but my point was the tire/wheel pants makes no detectable difference. There are too many uncontrollable variables. No problem, I didn't see an overreaction, just an attempt to provide correct information. I know you're not a meanie. That's my understanding too, that originally the "standard" gear originally used straight main legs and the tundra legs tapered to larger diameter at the tops. In mid 2006 they went to all tapered "tundra" mains regardless of tires installed. I've checked mine (mid 2007 build) and they are definitely tapered.
