Good morning,

Yesterday I spoke to Nick Carrell from swift fuels. He stated that in a few weeks they'd have a airport map locator of where the 94 Octane E0 can be purchased.

Until then he suggested to use this site for Airports with mogas.

Just double check that the airports on this site have the E0.

Don't look for that fuel on many airfields....and there is nothing wrong with using 91E10 from any gas station in the CT.

Burger,

In the Sting it is a concern. They came out with a SB stating that no more E-10 fuels should be used in the tanks. Also stated in the SB was to drain any E-10 that was in the tanks.

Being that it's an S-LSA I need to conform to the SB.

Hi Dick,

The Sting tanks were suitable for 10%E until three percent of the tanks developed leaks.

I'm sure the SB was a CYA situation from the company. I never had problems with it.

According to the dealer they were coated to prevent the effects of the E-10. Anyway, with the SB I have no choice and it's 25 miles out of the way to get non E- 91 Octane fuel.

I'm willing to bet that the problem was due to inadequate coating and/or quality control and not the E10.

Guess we'll wait and see if the non use of E-10 still shows a problem.

I've thought of going experimental many times but find it difficult to pull the trigger.

It's a great plane, like a sports car, so I'll make the 25 mile trip.

Safe flying
