Position light

Hey Guys!  I hate to be the guy that joins to sell something, but I was contacted and asked to get invovled.  I am the distributor for the North american, (and beyond it seems) for your light needs.  I have full stock of the EPL tip lights, and beacons.  Newest version is the EPL 2is.  The lights I sell are the actual ones sold to CT during manufacture.  MUCH improved from the original, and buying from myself, is a massive savings from allowing CT to provide.  We also have new products that you may be interested in, the EPTA-LSA, that will add tip stobes for you a well.    All lights are sold in pairs.  I'm currently out of the country, so can't reference the current pricing, but will try to get back to you this evening.  jim

I keep hoping my position lights will die, so I have an excuse to spend the money on some strobes + position lights that are actually visible.

Late last summer my buddy and me were flying around the pattern one evening, just before sunset.  I always knew where he was by his bright strobes.  He could never even see my lights, even when he was looking right at my airplane.  They are just not great.

Hey guys,  finally back in office.  The Position NAV lights EPL2is are $276 for the pair, and it seems to take about 10 bucks for shipping in the US market.  The EPTA-LSA is $394 for a pair, and again, shipping about 10.  You can contact me any time via email, jehardy@ntin.net and I'll get back to you ASAP.

Installing the EPTA-LSA will require a couple extra wires, and a switch to control the strobe function.  A conference in Germany brought about the following solution to provide the required wiring. You could merely attach the new wires to the old and just pull them through the wing.  You would need two wires AWG15 or more (AWG14) and for the smaller two wires you need AWG22 or more (AWG20).      thanks.  jim

I have a post somewhere earlier, but I have installed Aveo Engineering position lights with a small modification (and a LMA from FD).  These guys are bright and make the landing light unnecessary.  They do use more power, so be careful of that.
