Al Downs
Is this still a normal inspection? I heard that it may be changed to less often.
Tom Baker
I haven't heard anything. I plan on doing the inspection on a CTSW tomorrow or Friday.

Znurtdog
Just a P.S., don't skip the 'drain-down' test after wings back on. I dead-sticked to a field after a 'sight-tube' change that ended up pinching the fuel line where it comes into the airplane. Proper hose part has an inner pipe to prevent this. That airplane did not have that (does now!)
Roger Lee
On the Sw and LSA you can put a finger back in those areas and fell for a kink. When I do a wing pull on an LS I ALWAYS take my Dremel with a sanding drum and open up the hose where the hose goes through and where it bends. That will stop the kink because the FD hole is too small and makes too tight a bend. I also many times put a spring in that hose and it will never kink. On the Sw if you make the fuel hose off the fuel bulkhead too long it will kink to.
