Ed Cesnalis
The right place for photos is the ROTOR ZONE (CA Eastern Sierra) This is a very hard lesson. Right now its 18kts SW @ 12,500'. The Rotor / Photo zone is no place I want to be this morning. I cannot maintain a normal attitude and the pit of my stomach keeps 'coming up' as my CT 'goes over the falls'. My passenger doesn't understand why we are not going while it is calm on the ground.
Roger Lee
Hi Ed, At your altitudes how high do you like to be over those kinds of rotor areas? I'm not baiting you, I would really like to know since I rarely get into your particular flight parameters.

For practical purposes there is no getting above in a CT, that probably means Class A airspace. Below and in tight works for me though it isn't the normal technique. Most pilots around here have 2 turbines to work with so they go over.
