Oil Door Latch

Does anybody have a good, hopefully inexpensive source for the parts that form the latch for the oil door on a 2007 CTSW?  It's a little pull clasp on the door side and fixed ball on a post on the cowl side.  Mine's getting a bit loose.  Alternatively, if somebody knows how to rehabilitate the parts to make them latch tighter that would work too.

As stated above, Eagle Day is one source

Another source would be eBay

Or just do a search for Tenax Fasteners. You want to be sure that you get the German version. There is also an English version, but they are not interchangeable. The most common failure is usually caused by lifting the button up when closing the door. This may result in one of the three fingers falling down and getting bent. I have tried straightening the finger after but did not have much luck doing so. I then "borrowed" one of the fasteners from the map pouch from between the seats until I got a replacement. Good luck.

I bought both halves to replace on my airplane. At 600 hours the ball had hardly any wear, so I didn't replace it.

What I would be concerned about is if you can jiggle the door without releasing the latch. Because of the airflow over the cowling and pressure inside, the door will vibrate if given the chance. That quickly wears out new latches. If there is ANY play, I would recommend teplacing the ball too.

I first became aware of the issue when the door on mine would unlatch itself in flight.
