Mater switch for autopilot?

I have the Vizion autopilot. The POH and Vizion support says to only start the engine with  the AP off  when engaging the engine master switch which could send a sudden electrical impulse that could harm the AP. I cannot find an autopilot master switch in my CTLS. Is there one? I do have a button on the stick, but i'm told this only disengages the auto pilot not turn it off.  How do I get around this problem. 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

The avionics master switch also switches the power for the autopilot.

You could pull its circuit breaker pre shut down and close it after startup as part of your routine.   WF

Just in case you aren't aware...

 

There is a SKYVIEW SUPPLEMENT for the NEW VISION autopilot [not to be confused with the Digiflight II].

 

The manual that comes with the unit doesn't apply to the SKYVIEW system. Took me 2 frustrating days to find this out. You need to use the Supplement. Found here:

Thanks Bill. I'm aware of the supplement. It shows an autopilot master switch in the electrical diagram. That's what I'm looking for. I want to protect the AP when switching on the engine master switch.

Thanks Amabo. That solves my problem. Being as the auto pilot isn't on until the avionics switch, then when turning the engine master on there would be no harm to the auto pilot as the avionics has not been turned on yet.
