Short trip to Page, AZ in Mar

My niece flew into Tucson for spring vacation and I wanted to share with her some of our Page, AZ adventures so I planned a quick trip.

We left Tucson early Wednesday and flew to Monument Valley, UT and flew the Monuments and landed at UT25 (Gouldings) for breakfast.

Then flew Lake Powell down towards Page and up to Bryce Canyon. Ruby's picked us up and from Ruby's we took a taxi to the "Fairyland" overlook

and hiked down into the canyon.

A taxi ride back to Ruby's for dinner. Ruby's then took us back to the airport and we flew to Page for the night but not til we flew Glenn Canyon

dam and pictures of horse shoe bend on the Colorado River.

That was the first day.

The next morning after refueling with Classic Air, we flew Marble Canyon and the Grand Canyon en route to Sedona, AZ for pictures of the bluffs.

We then flew the valley south along Cottonwood, Jerome, Ft Verde and over to Payson where we flew the Salt River Valley by Roosevelt Lake and dam

and the Cliff dwellings. Over the Superstition Mountains by the copper mines and back to Tucson.

Sunset at Gates Pass Thursday evening.

For those of you that have been to Page - you understand the beauty of the Southwest. For those of you that have not been - you need to come.

See you at Page 2017.

That was a great trip Duane, good for you and your niece. I bet she really enjoyed it. Those pics are awesome.

Thanks for sharing and looking forward to seeing you and Larry in Page this October!

Wow, you've set the bar pretty darn high... how can she ever expect to see as much spectacular scenery in two days, for the rest of her life?  That had to be a life-changing trip, to be remembered forever, from a great Uncle.

I have many nephews and nieces. Tim, as you know, Jonathan came last Page outing and with his and Karen's excitement over the flights,

I suspect I will have more trips to make down the road.

It is a lot of fun showing them the incredible Southwest. I hope it will inspire more folks to make the Page Fly In this Oct.

The weather was perfect this time of the year!

Oh yes, she took 419 pictures in the two days. I think she will remember the trip.
