Tom Baker
I'll have to see if I have the instructions still. If I do it is on my old computer and it is a little hard to get to right now.
Tom Baker
I didn't find it on my computer, but it is here on this site. I'll also include the PDF here. 070720_3 Nose Gear Damper Exchange Procedure_1 (1).pdf
ls6pilot
Thanks Tom, I have looked at that. Is the pin the little aluminum piece you are referring to?
Tom Baker
The part I was referring to is the DAK 4010171. Oh, and the washers are not a stock hardware store item.
ls6pilot
Thanks Tom, I ordered some DIN 9021 -8.4 washers. Where do you get the DAK 4010171? thanks Rich
Roger Lee
Hi Tom, The washers are just metric stainless, but not thick washers. p.s. There are two other pieces on the top and bottom of the dampener stack.
ls6pilot
Roger , Where do I get the 2 other pieces? I just got the pucks from you and have ordered the metric washers. Rich Chesser
Tom Baker
I installed several kits back in the day. All my parts came from Flight Design. Back then the kits were "no charge" to get people to make the change. At one time the red pucks were hard to come by, so you might be able to find a kit minus the pucks. I would check with FDUSA, Lockwood, or Airtime Aviation. They might have a kit laying around still. At one time I had an extra kit laying around, but I sent it to Roger several years back. Roger Lee
Call FD for the two ends. If they do not have them any more washers can be substituted.
