ls6pilot
Twice yesterday while landing on grass shortly after touchdown the parking brake came on spontaneously. I recognized it and turned it off. First time I thought I must have hit it with my hand. Second time I am sure I did not. Any thoughts? Maybe I didnt have it firmly in the off position? SportFlyer1
I've done that, very embarrassing. I found the brake was half on at landing. I don't know how it got on, I must have brushed it somehow. Now it is on my landing checklist.
Roger Lee
There isn't any way for it to accidentally activate. Something had to turn it.
FlyingMonkey
Mine is pretty stiff, I can't imagine it getting turned without a good smack. Are others looser and easier to turn?
SportFlyer1
Mine is quite easy to move and I assume I brushed it in flight sometime.
Runtoeat
Mine takes a little effort to rotate it but if I had a long sleeve and the cuff caught on it, this might turn it. Or maybe a watch band, or bracelet, etc.?
Anticept
Some CTs are real easy to bump and you won't even notice. The valve only needs to be turned a little.
