Jeremy Zawodny
To make a long story short, I'm 95% sure that the Ducati Rectifier/Regulator in our 2005 CTsw is shot. I'm sure I can call Flight Design and pay 3x what one is worth. But I suspect there are other sources as well... Anyone know? Looking around on-line hasn't been as fruitful as I'd expected. Safety Officer
Hi Jeremy, I talked to Jeremy from CPS and he thinks and has seen the yellow plug wires on the reg. be the problem, too. he thinks you need to make sure those get pushed in from the opening on the end until you feel the plug slide together. What did you find to make you think it is the reg for sure? Call and talk to Jeremy at CPS and see what he says. I also bet he might have a used one if it comes to that. I've had the plug off a few times now, checked that the connectors look good, and verified that both yellow wires appear to be on tightly. I still get no charge and no generator light. I've also verified the AC current coming out of the generator. But I'll give him a call and see what we can come up with. Thanks, Jeremy

chanik
I haven't bought a new one, but it is this unit. Can't tell if this one has the wire harness receptacle http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/catalog/Heavy-Duty-Ducati-Regulator-Rectifier I would just get the one from CPF. It can't be much more than what you could find elsewhere. http://www.rotaxparts.net/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=

I'm not sure why, but sometimes I feel like the RotaxParts.net site has more on it than you can find by navigating the normal catalog... Thanks, Jeremy call me, there are some simple troubleshooting steps you can do. No sense in throwing parts at a promlem when it might be a bad connection. Hope it isn't too late, Tad

CPS apparently doesn't stock them, so ordering one means waiting 3-4 weeks. :-(
