    Hi fellow pilots. I might be going to Tunisia with m’y CT this summer. Tunisia is not very deep into the Sahara but it can be very hot. Seeking your advice, recommandations, DOs and DONTs, checklist, for flying in hot conditions. Here in the North of Fr it can be quite bumpy sometimes when it gets hot (I agrée it’s rare) so I’m wondering how thermals can be over desert and arid areas. Looking Forward.

    Thank you indeed for your prompt reply and valuable contribution. Is it sth easy to install? does it have to obide with ceratin rules? Can any bridal do the job or should it be one in particular that has to come from FD?
  5. Wondering if someone could kindly post a few pics showing how/where the chute should be attached. On my CT2K a new Junkers has been installed less than a year ago but installation seems a bit weird in the way that the chute is attached to the belts that go to the front of the aircraft running along windshield. Nothing is attached to main gear or anything else. I am not any technical guy by my guess is that should I have to pull the chute the aircraft would land on the tail, probably breaking the all the tail area. Many thanks in advance.

    Excellent skills for 9 hours, congrats ! Congrats also for that nice cockpit. God Bless pilot and airplane. Now that everybody agree on more rudder, you may want to know why. Major reason is your propeller. Yes, should your propeller rotate opposite direction, your jump would be to the right. I understand you got your training in a SportCruiser. Although low wing and high wing require different rudder inputs, you must have had at least some of this leftward tendency at takeoff and throttle inputs in your previous aircraft, unless your instructor was taking care of that effect. Many literature on the internet offer details on this topic.   11. Nice pics indeed. How is it like when you fly over these mountains? I guess it can be still gentle given the (guessed) temperatures. I've crossed the Austrian Alps once and the CT did get shaken. It was summer time with thick though white clouds forming over the mountain chain at that time. It didn't leave me a comfortable feeling.

    My point is when lubrication oil little tank is upside down and engine ends up pumping air instead of circulating that oil, that must not be something good

    I am pretty sure this topic has been discussed many a time, so please forgive my iteration. It's about refuelling from jerrycans. Are there solutions or pump kits you may recommend to refuel while keeping the jerrycan on the ground. The solution has to work on CT battery, i.e 12V.

    When you look at lubrication oil system of the Rotax as it is installed on the CTs and at that little tank hanging a few inches away from engine, you would think that oil has to be constantly in the bottom of the tank in order to be pumped into the engine properly. So if you roll, unless you keep the Gs on absolute positive value, the oil would tend to leave the bottom of the tank and the engine would pump air instead of oil. Sould this happen, not sure if it is so easy to bring lubrication oil back in the circuit. Standard carburator system seems to be based on gravity too (not talking about electronic injection).
