  1. Every winter, I use duct tape over the access holes. This really helps with a warm cockpit.
  2. I have a 2007 ctsw, just replaced rocket and repacked chute by factory. Factory says 2 week turn around, plan on 5 to 6 week turn around.
  3. Thanks everyone for your help. Roger, my mechanic and I will be contacting you in the next couple of weeks for your help and instruction. Annual is due in may so it will be in that time frame. Thanks again to all for your ideas and help.
  4. My 5 year chute repack is due on my CTsw. I live in Cincinnati, any suggestions as to the closest maintenance facility to do this job? Also, is the 5 year repack a suggestion or a requirement for the CTsw? Just wondering. ..
  5. For sale, two new Aero Classic 4.00x6 tires, I no longer have a need for them. They sell from Desser for $59.95 ea., I'll sell the pair for $75.00. If interested or if you have questions, please contact me at jerryassell@yahoo.com Thanks, Jerry
  6. Just preparing to replace the engine isolators on my CTSW and my mechanic was hoping someone out there would have the correct torque values for the bolts when replacing. Also, If some one as a maintenance changing procedure for the isolators they would like to share that would also be welcomed. Thanks, Jerry
  7. One more question Roger, neither my mechanic nor I have any idea what Inox is. Where can I buy a can of this?
  8. Thanks roger, but just blew $20 on amazon for the special zerk fitting kit to grease them. I'm going with your advice and spraying them with Inox.
  9. What type of grease should be used for the aileron zerks where the tie rods connect in the wing? I've looked for the recommended greases without success. I've been told Aeroshell would be ok, just wanted your suggestions.
  10. The crack I've shown is about 6" long.
  11. I have dime size blisters on the cowl and a chip or two on the spinner. My biggest concern is the paint crack where the windscreen and fuselage meet as shown below. This paint crack has been in progress for about 4 years, growing an inch a year. I've been told by an authorized dealer when the paint crack started, it was superficial and nothing more. I'm going to write to Flight Design to see what they think....hopefully they will respond. Thanks everyone for your replies and sharing knowledge!
  12. I have a 2007 CTSW and for some time now, I've been noticing the paint cracking, lifting off, and chipping. The plane has always been hangered, never left in the elements. Just curious, is anyone else having this issue and if so, what can be done to prevent further cracking of the paint? Your thoughts are most appreciated. Jerry
