  1. Try a suction cup attached to the pilots window
  2. How about just hanging your headset(s) on the post(s) next to the fuel sight tubes?
  3. Suggest calling DYNON Tech Support @ 425-402-0433 x2 Looks like yours maybe heading Tango Uniform.
  4. SOLD There is no issues with these units. I flew them today. Each unit includes the SV-270 mapping software, a $200 upgrade. They both are running DYNON’s current v.15.4.7 software and Seattle Avionics latest NAV data downloads. 1 units is now available priced separately for $1,750 shipped to the lower 48. 5. I'm thinking of upgrading my Skyview Classics to HDX. Especially interested in a comparison by anyone who has already made the switch.
  6. Why did you choose G3X instead of DYNON HDX?
  7. That’s the original mushroom I’m replacing. The picture includes D100/D120s.
  8. I've hear it referred to both ways. Anyway it's the entire housing (glare shield) that contains all 3 separate instrument panels. I'd like a larger one as in the CTLSs sold after 2010. My 2008 console has just enough room for 7" SKYVIEWS and I'd need a larger one to accommodate 10" screens. Any leads appreciated. Flight Design has none.
  9. Are they required by regulation on a CTLS with dual Skyview screens but single ADAHRS? I notice in the pix of the new F2 panel in their sales brouchure there are 2 GARMIN g3x landscape screens but no back up instruments visible. The price sheet however does list "analog back up instruments" fpr 1,180 euros.
  10. Appreciate any suggestions on where to buy the parts for the 6 year "hose replacement".
  11. Other than subscription cost, what are the differences between DYNON and Seattle Avionics?
  12. Is that considered owner maintenance which I can sign off in my logbook?
  13. Ed's post called to mind a flight I took 6 years ago the week before Hurricane Sandy while flying between ACY and BOS. It was taken with 2 GoPro Hero2's so not as smooth as the newer versions.
  14. Oh, did I mention how this panel pays for itself. I now get 5 knots greater TAS and 20% less fuel burn with this panel
  15. I don't recall the details of the process, but I could have anything appear on that surface. So I roughly sketched it out. It was done by the shop while I was having avionics upgrades done to the plane. Lucky it turned out so well despite my lack of supervision. (Sort of "this is sort of what I want, can you make it happen? OK then do it.) The invoice had no detail other than amount due. I was initially surprised come have come to believe it was well worth it.
  16. Had them done at a local trophy shop. The white you see is etching NOT labels. Pricey at just under $1k
  17. Interested in a 2008 CTLS with 7" Skyviews, ADS-B in/out, less than 850 TT, NDH and hangared?NDH, and hangared?
  18. I CLAIM THE RECORD! For the longest living forum subject to date at 7 YEARS, 2 MONTHS and 17 DAYS since March 27, 2011.
  19. Long story. I had to buy a new battery before receiving the warranty replacement for my dead battery. I just received the replacement from APEX SUPERSTORES. It's NEW with a PACK DATE of Nov 2017. Rather than put it on the shelf as backup it's for sale for $120 including shipping in the US.
  20. Sorry to say Roger, but tightening didn't solve the problem.
  21. My temp readings on #1 are erratic. They go from ZERO to RED LINE but seldom are in line with normal #2. Usually the bar is just fluctuating back and forth or just blank. What 2 points is the probe connected to. I assume 1 is on the engine and the other on the back of the SKYVIEW. Any suggestion short of replacing the probe appreciated.
  22. Having migrated to CTFLIER from COPA when I switched ownership, I was amazed at what this FORUM provided and AT NO COST. (Synonymous with FREE!) I have no idea what out of pocket expenses you incur providing this product, but I for one would like to contribute something. I'm sure their are others who feel as I do. Can you give us some idea of the total out of pocket you incur and a way we can make a contribution?
  23. Or push forward at the wing root. It's surprisingly light and easy to push or pull.
  24. Just my opinion. Your experience my vary. No warrantys expressed or implied. Yada...Yada. They should be about the same. The aircraft are both high wing LSAs with 100hp ROTAX engines - center stick controls and right hand throttle quadrant. What matters is your training in the aircraft until you reach a true comfort/confidence level landing in various conditions (short field, grass, winds, etc) and then frequent practice landing. AND setting you personal minimums such as runway length, cross-wind component, etc. - raising them as your experience builds. Just my 2 cents.
