  1. Assuming you have an SW or early LS with a single fuel valve by the key. If you were flying with a list (unnoticed) all the fuel went to the lower fuel cell then the higher wing ran low enough that the pick up started sucking air. Once air is in the lines it gets locked up and is slow to recover. This may be why it didn't keep the engine running after you banked to put the empty wing lower. On the ground, it probably self leveled between the tanks with the engine off and not sucking air. I have seen this many times over the past 10 years of working on CT's. This is why the new models have a "left/off/right" fuel selector.
  2. Hello CT Flier!!! It has been a while. Roger, I ruled out a bad ground during troubleshooting. The fuel psi sender is a VDO and located on the firewall. I slaved in a calibrated mechanical gauge and determined the pump was bad. Everything was perfectly normal on the ground after the new pump install, but on takeoff it gets very low. I asked Bill to go straight and level WOT and he reports normal fuel psi. The Skyview is up to date and we still cannot pinpoint the problem. I am thinking of swapping out the VDO sensor for the 3 wire Dynon sender. I will have to run a 5VDC wire to the new sender, but PIN 18 is already in the Dynon EMS so it should be a painless mod. What do you think? Your opinion is greatly appreciated Sir. Bill, did I moss anything?

I anounced to everyone that I had moved to Winter Haven, Florida and it would bring better saving to all of my customers... well here it is! 10 % fuel discounts will start immeidiately when you schedule your annual inspection with me. This is good for the entire year, no matter how much fuel you burn, and is currently at $0.56 per gallon off the normal price. You can schedule your inspection now with a $300 deposit (which is refundable) and start your savings now. This is good for up to 4 months out. If for some reason when it is time and you can't make it, I will refund your deposit. I work on light sport and all general aviation airplanes specializing in structural repair and restoration. We have a fairly new FBO with a great resturant and I can even give you or a friend a $0.30 per gallon fuel discount just for dropping in for a hamburger. So bring a friend and come check me out at Gilbert Field (KGIF). I now offer altimeter and transponder recertification. I am scheduling my next batch for Sept 14.   9. I have indeed made the move to Winter Haven, FL(KGIF). My new facility is over 11,000 square feet and is more than triple my old Sebring facility. I have out-grown my old facility in Sebring in a very short period of time. My new shop will bring more competitive pricing on parts with more buying power and suppliers. There are alot of exciting things coming along with this move, but I can't say too much. As always, you all can continue to deal with me and call or email as you see fit. KGIF offers more ammentities in the community and will decrease the amount of down time while waiting on parts and suppliers which are very limited in the small town of Sebring. I started my aviation career in 1990 as a helicoptor mechanic in the US Marine Corps and did one tour of duty. I have been doing LSA/ Rotax heavy maintenance and structural repair since 2007. I am an AP/IA with several authorized service centers on my resume including; Tecnam, Flight Design, Aeroprakt, Evektar and Alto. Please feel free to drop me an email or call me any time.   12. We specialize in carb overhaul and have ways to ensure your carbs will work great and not leak.
  13. Send me your carbs and i will make the drip go away. there is only one thing that causes this and I know how to fix it.
  14. Have you slaved in a (known good) mechanical gauge to rule out the instument? Sounds like it should be running in the normal range from what I have read.
  15. CT's are very cost effective as long as you have the right guy working on your CT. Make sure you find a factory trained airframe and Rotax certified mechanic. You can not take it to the old GA mechanic (which I am both GA and LSA) and expect to get anything done correctly. Do your homework. Roger Lee is in Arizona and the Gutmann's are in Oklahoma.
