    ADS-B out/in upgrade

To comply with the ADS-B 2020mandate, we are having a Garmin Aera 660 installed to replace our Garmin 496, and a Garmin GTX 345 w/WAAS GPS installed to replace our Garmin GTX330. We have a 2007 CTSW. My avionics shop is unfamiliar with Flight Design, and wants me to ask the Forum if anybody knows (1) what is the best method and (2) what is the best location on our 2007 CTSW, to install the new WAAS GPS antenna, as it needs to be facing up and in clear view of the sky to receive the mandated satellite reception. All thoughts are appreciated. Robin

    ADS-B Installation

I impulsively decided to order the Nav Worx ADS-B package for LSA's / Experimental's yesterday (that's ADS600-EXP). I had a notice from the FAA that their rebate offer was expiring, but I don't think it applies to LSA (I will research that, I have a few days to apply). For now, I was wondering if any CT owners/flyers have ordered or installed the Nav Worx ADS-B system? If so, you might get a visit from N40HA, hee hee.

    UAvionix install

Starting the install of a uAvionix Echo Esx transponder this week. Looks like I will be gaining a couple pounds of useful load and ADS-B out! Win win!
