Dynon 120 problem

Mick

Recommended Posts

The Dynon D120 EMS in my 2006 CTSW (N357CT) sometimes looses it's brain. While loafing at 4300 to 4500 rpm it suddenly sounds the over speed alarm and acts like 4000 or so is the red line. After a minute or so it returns to it's normal display. Seems like it suddenly decides that the engine is not a Rotax. ???? Any insight would be appreciated as I am in upstate NY (1000+ mi. from home) for another month or so.

Retired and love it as much as my SW

Hi Mick,

One big thin you can do is unplug the power supply on the back and reboot it just like you would a computer.

First thing is do you have the most current software update which is 5.3? If you don't this should be done before any thing else. I know the 5.3 wasn't aimed at this type of correction, but with an update it may take care of a program bug. If you have 5.3 then do a reload and go into the menu and do an auto configure in the main menu. I do not know exactly why this is doing this, but one of these may take care of the problem.
