Safety Officer
Here is what happens if something comes loose in the airbox, drops a screw and forgets it or forgets to peen over the butterfly screws in the carb during a rebuild. OOOWW, costly. Notice all the lead from 100LL building up. Looks like the screw actually knocked some of this loose.

Jim
That's one sad engine. Any idea how long it ran like that and what it sounded like?
Safety Officer
It still ran, but was rough. Very little compression so not much power. There would be know way to know how long it would run or how strong. It would depend on the screw and if it took out the plugs or knocked a hole in the Cylinder. It would eventually fail.
