I use an Anker RAVPower 15000mAh External Battery, 1A side for continuous power to the GoPro and save the 2A side in case iPhone needs charging. Taken that thing all over the world and never ran it dry. The larger aircraft have sufficient power to keep all the electronics running, but I begin to question whether the LSA, with Rotax engine, has the ability to power all the external devices. In the LSA, where we run a fully equipped electronic panel and start to add more electronics via the charger it's got to be near the max capacity of the charging coil. Correct me if I am wrong but that coil provides individual, separate power, to the ignition and the aircraft electrical needs not related to keeping the engine running. And it is a coil, like on an outboard, mounted on the rear of the engine. I know, because we had to replace one recently. Thankfully Lockwood had one in stock.
