CT4ME
Jon Hilton recently flew a CTsw across the Atlantic from Barton, Manchester to Iqaluit, Canada and back. Here's a audio podcast about his adventures... and a video of his return. tim
FlyingMonkey
Do you know anything more about the flight? What was the longest leg, and how did he carry extra fuel?
CT4ME
'haven't listened to the whole podcast... but looking him up, it seems like he's been trying to put together a "round the world" thing. (facebook GIZ world tour) However, politics and airspace issues seem to have dampened his enthusiasm for the trip. As you may remember, Yannick and Franscisco of Azimut270 had considerable issues getting airspace clearances, in spite of their vast experience as International Heavy Metal pilots. Ian
EGCB - City Airport Manchester is where I trained & was based for many years (before the CTLS) - I know the pilot concerned just to nod & say hello to, next time I bump into him I'll ask him the questions

Craig
Having just viewed/read his Facebook photo entries, that looked terrifying and he may be one of the luckiest still alive. Looks like his longest leg was <550 miles, so he carried no extra fuel.
