Andy Posted November 1, 2014 Report Share Posted November 1, 2014 Just got back from flying the CTSW into Ellington Field to put it on static display as part of EAA Chapter 12's airplanes for the Wings Over Houston airshow. Going in I got to fly one of the most fast-paced landings in the airplane I have ever done...keeping my speed up while flying in at 600 feet underneath fighters breaking a few hundred feet overhead and airplanes right behind me on final while putting her down right on the numbers so I could turn off at the taxiway right next to the runway's threshold (Taxiway C off of RW 35R). What a kick! I'll be out with my wife in Prime View area E viewing the airshow tomorrow (and keeping an eye on my CTSW) and then working the EAA Chapter 12 "booth" where my airplane is spotted on Sunday morning 9 am -1 pm.
