gbigs
A Piper PA-23 twin on BART tracks in SF, a Piper PA-24 on a roof near Hobby airport where the Cirrus crash happened, and a Cessna 182F in Georgia on a freeway. Looks like the pilot burned and died in the Piper twin. http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/Three-Off-Airport-Crashes-One-Pilot-Killed-226434-1.html
Cluemeister
It's been a terrible few weeks for aviation. Does this happen when the flying season heats up, or when the DA gets high and people aren't used to flying in it, or does it just happen randomly? FlyingMonkey
A bit of all three. But people do start flying in the summer who have not touched an airplane for months. Skills can be rusty and there is a period of heightened danger.
Doug G.
If it has been a while I spend time doing basic maneuvers and stalls in a practice area here before anything else. I am currently waiting for BRS to finish the repack on my chute. After I pick it up and reinstall it I will be off practicing. (There is a small airport that I do T&Gs at too.)
