Maintenance costs per item.

Is there a listing of typical shop costs for many of the items that need attention? My new used 2007 CTSW has 660 hours and I'm trying to budget for required service over the next day 200 hours.

Thanks in advance!

Make sure you use a shop that has an experienced A&P on the CT.  It has very particular design elements.  One big one is a shop that has carbon fiber and fiberglass experience.  And one that has a mechanic with heavy Rotax training under  his/her belt.

I would budget something like $10 per hour maintenance, $10 per hour engine reserve, and $1,000 per year annual.

Those are good, conservative numbers, though on my last two annuals I have gotten away for about $400 doing most of the work myself under the watchful eye of my A&P.  It's worth it to form a relationship with a good A&P.  Mine gets a few hundred dollars for doing very little work himself, and I save on the cost of the annual -- we both win.
