Attention gel coat experts, Carbon fiber experts, Kevlar experts or anyone!

Can this be repaired?

Buckaroo, I am not an expert and Tom Baker knows much more than I but based on a few CTSW's I've seen with damage like this, you many need at least one new aluminum landing gear strut for this side of your CT.

I've seen this before and it can happen even if there is no bad landing. The fairing comes out side the fuselage and just the flex in the leg during a landing shoves it up into the fuselage protrusion chipping it out. It isn't hard to repair and to keep it from happening again you need some packing material up inside the fairing so it stays centered and can't fall off to one side.

Roger, I've only seen the ones that had bad landings.  The bent gear rod in the scrap metal bin didn't present that nice of a picture.  Good to know there could be damage like this without a bad landing.

Sorry I didn’t acknowledge your responses on this post. I guess I didn’t hit notify when I posted it. Anyway I’m very happy to hear it can be repaired I’m kinda anal about stuff like this!

Thanks again!
