I’m thinking of installing the sky Beacon. Does anyone have experience with this ADSB solution?

I am considering installing the sky Beacon ADSB out. Does anyone have experience with this solution in a CTLS?

I tried the Sky Beacon on my CTLS but had trouble getting consistent GPS signal.  It seems the carbon wingtip on the CTLS is problematic.  I think the Tail beacon or Echo UAT would be the best candidate for the CTLS.

With the Skybeacon, line of sight reception is limited to about 50%. I think that’s quite a lot.

Tailbeacon would expand that considerably.

I have installed it and had 2 long flights thru 4 different airspaces and all verified I was reporting good.  I did pull a report after the first flight and it had a tiny bit of red but I think that was because I was in a low coverage area.  I am back to my primary area where coverage is good and I hope to fly possibly today and pull another report to see if all is good.  I feel good that all controllers verified I was reporting good.  -2006 CTSW

 I have a CTLS. By the way, did you have to make any modifications with the screw holes.?
