Ben2k9
Periodically the dynon PFD doesn’t shut down when power/avionics is shut down. One has to turn power back on and try powering down again. Question- could this drain the plane battery or does it have its own internal battery? Plane had to be jumped recently and wondering if this could be the culprit. Tom Baker
The PFD has a internal battery. It should shut down 30 seconds after you turn off the master. If you accidently hit one of the buttons it might make it stay on. It shouldn't run the aircraft battery down.
cdarza
I had battery drain in the past and the cause was a faulty USB plug that was in the cigarette adapter. I typically pop the fuse for the 12v and push it in only when i need 12v to the cigarette plugs.

If you pull the master "switch" It is my assumption that this disconnects all electrical from the battery, So even if the dynon stays on, the battery should not be effected. FlyingMonkey
You don't want to to fully drain the internal battery either, a full discharge can degrade the battery life. Best to make sure it shuts off. Maybe check and see if there's a setting to change to make it shut off, or as mentioned make sure you are not interacting with the PFD after you power it off.
