FlyingMonkey
Good work by the pilot, and landing downhill didn't make it easier.

sandpiper
Not a -12. I thought he was going to run a red light! Didn't take the police long to get to the scene./

Ed Cesnalis
These KR's by Ken Rand of Huntington Beach were constructed like surf boards. I spent a lot of time shaping foam. Many of them got early Volkswagen motors. Engine failure likely wasn't a Rotax.
WmInce
Did anybody observe flaps on that airplane? I did not see any on his low approach, rollout or ground handling off the highway. That may account for . . . what appeared to me, as a high touchdown speed and some PIO. He did a good job for what he had to work with.
