GrassStripFlyBoy Posted January 8, 2020 Report Share Posted January 8, 2020 When I was looking for CT time this summer, the best "local" option for us located SE Michigan area is Zone Aviation at Lorain County Regional Airport, Ohio. Uncontrolled airport with long rwy, rent a CTLS, and have friendly instructor that did me well. If you're just looking for some time in type this is good option. If you're not rated and looking for full on instruction, I'd go with what you have closer to home, and transition into a CT later. He said some of the instructors are more geared to the Cirrus line they also rent / sell there, where he enjoyed the CT for instruction. Runtoeat Posted January 11, 2020 Report Share Posted January 11, 2020 You might try Lenawee County (Adrian KADG) for flight training. Jackson airport KJXN is another airport that offers flight training. Solo Aviation is the flight school here. Both airports are near you.
