TheFrisco
I have a silly idea, replacing my metal panel with a carbon one, or at least hydro dipping the existing panels with a carbon print. Why you may ask? Because I like the MODERN LOOK, is the honest answer. But here are a few others ... It's LIGHTER, my writings are fading and need a REPRINT, I'd like to replace the GPS which requires a new center panel anyhow. OK OK I admit it ... it's the look. But ... Does that screw with the certification? Is there a problem with grounding/electricity conducting? Now have fun telling me how STUPID THAT IDEA IS Robert aka TheFrisco
Tom Baker
Unless they have been changed your panels are not real metal. They are a composite laminate with an aluminum veneer. Rather than try and cut them out of carbon fiber I think I would place a faux carbon fiber look over what you have.
