Ed Cesnalis
I now have a 2007 CTSW with a D100 in the left panel. Would it have a backup battery? It has gone dark and Dynon says its either the backup battery if it has one or a repair.
Roger Lee
FD usually put them in, but you have an earlier model so it may be a toss up. It should come on when you turn the plane power on. If it had a backup battery it would stay on or you could manually turn it on. If it doesn't work at all then off to Dynon. Either way it has to come out of its mount to either check for the battery which is located on the right side of the D100 case.

Bill3558
Mine went dark too. I cleaned the electrical connections and it booted up, but it was still almost black. Got into the manual and learned how to turn up the screen brightness and it came right up.
