AGLyme
Thx Andy, I am gaining some courage in the low speed range with 30 degrees flaps. A c180 cut in front of me on downwind so I had to elongate the downwind, throwing me off my perfect pattern . Turned into a 2 miles final which I’m not used to. So I aimed for the “threshold” and ignored the tons of iPhones pointed at the plane (I think they were hoping for a calamity) and nailed it. 1 part skill, 2 parts luck ! The wind was straight down the runway in the morning. The density altitude was -3000.. yes minus. Had a little cross when I took off a few hours later. Taking off was harder actually due to the more acute P factor variable, slight cross wind and the distraction of worrying about the people hanging out on the side of the “runway”. I was more concerned about not hitting people than anything. When I took off I corrected my direction away from the folks.
