Bill3558
Oh no. Tachometer went to zero as I was taxing. Anyone know where I should start to look? Is there a sensor somewhere that detects rpm? Thanks for any suggestions.
Roger Lee
In the engine compartment on the right side. There is a set of wires encased in a black sheath. This goes into the fire sleeve or black plastic flex tube just above the #3 cyl. It is open right there and if you look inside that slit and pull back the black sheath you will see a connector. That is the tach. My guess is the plug has been pulled apart some or the wires going back towards the engine have rubbed through somewhere or the wires going through the firewall may have rubbed through and all these can cause a disconnection. Bill3558
I don’t see it. Going to pull lower cowling and check connections at stator.
Bill3558
With the EMS out and engine running, I jiggled some wires and it started working. Will clean connections and reassemble. Fingers crossed.
