Big Flapper
I have been working on an electronic issue and accidentally left the Gen switch on overnight and now my Hobbs meter is 12 hrs ahead. I'm thinking that I could just unplug the Hobbs meter contacts and connect them together and fly the plane for the next 12 hrs and get in back in sync. Will this cause any other problems? I know that the Gen light and the Hobbs meter are connected and that the Gen light won't come on if the Hobbs meter is simply unplugged and the circuit is not complete. Anticept
You can just make a log entry in the logbooks. Nothing regulatory in 91 says that you even have to use a meter to record TIS. Just make sure it's clear how to calculate the new TIS.
