Olarry
Anyone know if any draw or damage is done to a battery if a connected battery maintainer or trickle charger loses it's power source overnight?
Anticept
It should have a diode to prevent discharge.
Runtoeat
The CTEK 3300 literature says it will pull 1Ah per month from a battery if left connected to it without AC power. http://smartercharger.com/products/batterychargers/ctek-multi-us-3300/ The NOCO 1100G literature says it draws 5mA (constant?). http://www.geniuschargers.com/G1100/specs
gbigs
Flight Design provides a battery tender/charger with each new plane. You may be able to get one from them that matches the battery you have if unsure....
Olarry
I did get a battery maintainer with the plane. Unfortunately, it was a European version and not able to plug into our wall plugs. No adapter available. Flight design USA sent me an Optimate 5 that I'm currently using. My battery is the Lithium Iron lightweight version and I have it connected all the time the plane is not flying. My hanger lost power the other evening is the reason for my initial question. I was originally given the Euro version. I demanded and got the US version. You should do the same.
